Tougher Wheels!

TOUGH WHEELS FOR THE REVOLT !!!!

I called OMF today and " Bones" knew just what I needed. He said he tested it and they fit. Here it is ....
Front,
OMF Outlaw I or II, 12x6 4+2 4/156mm, with outside and inside reinforcement rings.

Rear,
OMF Outlaw I or II, 12x8 3+5 4/156mm, with outside and inside reinforcement rings.
Bones said to keep the air pressure up for high speeds 15 to 20 psi.

Price? around $200 each.

Need something tougher?
OMF and Redline have the Billet Center Bead Lock wheels. Call your Redline Dealer for a price.
Check out Damon's Race Car for Pics.

Re: Tougher Wheels!

I checked the Revolt manual and it say to check the tire pressure, before each ride. It dosn't say what pressure.
I got my rear Big Horns today. That is one beefy tire!

Re: Tougher Wheels!

I have the back tires, 26x12x12. But I havn't bought the fronts yet. I may wait until I have the new wheels here before I mount them up.
Rocky Mountain ATV seams to have the best price.

Re: Tougher Wheels!

I have the front Maxxis tires. The wheels are on order, from OMF. I went with the Douglas .190 wheel, with inner and outer reinforcement rings.
Bones, at OMF said they will have them made and shipped by the second week in Dec. I'll post some pictures after I get them mounted up.
Front and back wheels $179.95 each + shipping

FYI, Outlaw wheels from OMF, are Douglas .190 wheels with holes machined out.
Wheel difference in cost? Douglas Red to Outlaw = $51.88 each.

OMF 1-951-354-8272 ask for Bones.

Re: Tougher Wheels!

The New Maxxis Tires and OMF Wheels are AWESOME!
They made a HUGE difference on how it turns, much quicker. I have them at 15 psi., but I think I'll drop them down to 12 psi.
I even found a little snow today. They work well in that too.

Re: Tougher Wheels!

That looks good!!!!!!!!!! You say it turns quicker but does it take anymore effort to steer?

Re: Tougher Wheels!

No, no more effort. As I understand it, the Bighorns have to break in. The only thing I noticed was a little rougher ride. But that could be from the 15 psi., I had in the tires.
I got to laughing, when I would turn the wheel and the back end would slide around and stick. It was a blast up that winding road. At the top there was 24" packed snow on the road. I got it side ways, on a ice patch, at 40 mph. A true "Pucker" moment.

Desert Fox, that was the "B" ride. Most of the roads were locked off for winter. As I was getting ready to leave the parking area, some forest Rangers drove up. Two Rangers hopped out. One stood in front of the Revolt, the other came over, and was asking all about it. They were checking registrations. I had the stickers on and he thanked me for having them. Glad I did. It scared the crap out of me at first. I thought I was a wanted man.

I watch Cops to much.
