Does anyone have info on a bead breaker or better yet any tricks on getting these Holshots off the rim?! These things are kicking my butt. The GBC tires and Maxxis go on and off fine.I saw one in an ad by JL parts but don't want to spend the money if it doesn't work.

On the wheels on my quad I just take them to my local tire shop and they help me out..... and I avoid the struggling....

On the revolt I have beadlocks... no struggle, just a lot of bolts but simple....
- you should look into some beadlocks....



I have seen people use dish soap and water to make it easier.... but Ive never tried it... maybe someone else has better tips...

I use a bead breaker from Harbor Freight. It costs less than a $100 and I mounted it on the back of my trailer. It works prettty well. The motorcycle attachment comes separate and is not needed.

I will have a cool one shortly that I will be offering them for sale soon. Rick Dude's frame builder Dennis has designed a real slick one. When I saw it work I was sold on the spot and ordered one. I will get some pictures and post what it looks like. It will be able to mount to the floor or he will have an option to stick it in a receiver hitch so you can take it with you out riding or to the races. This thing is heavy duty too. If anyone thinks they might be interested PM me and I will take a count and let Dennis know what he might need to build in the first production run. I know it is hard to commit to anything without seeing it first so I am just looking to see what the level of interest is until I get the pictures up.

I tried to mount a set of Paddles, by hand. Not.

Be careful what you use. Some detergents are caustic and will eat aluminum.
Most all tire stores use Murphy's Soap. This stuff is slicker than pigs snot. You can get it in a liquid or a tub of paste. Mix it with a little water and tires slide right on.

Thanks for all the good info everybody. I've been around trucks (dump, concrete, tractor trailer, etc..) most of my life and have changed more truck tires than I can remember, but these take the cake. I finally had to take the tires to the tire shop and have them removed there. It took all of 30 secs. I have beadlocks already so the outside bead is not a problem. Is any body else having trouble with the Holeshots? I will be getting a beadbreaker very soon.
