Tires and Rims

Dear all,

I know this questions has been brought up many times but at the end of the day up to now

*what are the best desert style tires in the sense of grip and durability and size for front and back for a riot?

*What are the best after market rims and size for front and back for a riot.

*I need strong aggressive treads since there are some areas where there are sharp rocks and also tough rocky climbing where lots of trtaction is needed.

Also what store has the best prices?

Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Thnx guys!

I've had great success with the Maxxis Big Horns. They last a long time too.
I use 26x9x12 front and 26x12x12 rear.

I also pack two flat repair kits and a 12 Volt air compressor. The Power Sport Tire Inflator (40001) from Slime

Re: Tires and Rims

Check out the Pitbull Rocker Uber XOR tires. They are an 8 ply rated radial that is super tough and rides smooth as butter. They also have extra deep built in rim guards.

Here is the link to them:

Re: Tires and Rims

The Pitbulls is arguably a much better tire hands down than the Maxxis Bighorn or any other offering out there! I couldn't keep from getting sidewall penetrations in Bighorns and the Pitbulls have yet to fail. I run the 26.5 & 27.5 x9 front and the 26.5 & 27.5 x 9 rear on both twelve and 14 inch rims. The ITP type 7 beadlocks are quality good rims, but you'll need wheel spacers on the rear.

Re: Tires and Rims

I've got the pitbull uber's from a discount tire down the road. And am very happy with the tire in both dirt and mud on the riot. Definitely a good tire

Re: Tires and Rims

Mine don't! However, I run stock RZR rim sizes on my dirt wheels and have to run a wheel spacer on the rear to prevent it from dragging on the trailing arm.
