Riot Sand Tire Feedback

I am planning to get some front sand tires to go with the 9 paddle haulers I got last year (which I somewhat regret now...spins too much). There is very little out there on sand tire comparisons for the Riot. I am curious if anyone has tried the AMS 27" Blacktail on a Riot. Also, if anyone has tried an 8" wide wheel in the front to get a little more float. I think the Riot needs a little more clearance up front and a little more grab when turning.

The Blacktail or Whipsnake from AMS are both great. Probably more turning grab with the Blacktail. Do not go over a 7 inch wheel in front. As soon as you can, get some Sand Tires Unlimited Blaster 12X26. Sixteen paddle. Have them comp cut and leave the big paddles. You will be amazed with the difference the Blasters make.......

Re: Riot Sand Tire Feedback

I am a long time scat fan and just bought some 12 paddle extremes formy Revolt. I am making 130hp and 12 paddle is not enough. The Extremes are a much stiffer paddle and do not roll back under load like the haulers. I would like to sell them and get some Sandunlimiteds. These tires onlyhave 6-8 hours on them, new condition. If you are interested in them drop me a pm.

What was your experience with the 8" wheel? Bump steer?

Actually, I do have 9 paddle Skat Extremes, not Haulers (I'm just used to calling them haulers). But they still spin a little too much.

I have not used an 8 inch wheel on the front because I believe they are too wide. Stock is 6 inch and too wide of a wheel will screw up your front end geometry. Also you still want a tall sidewall with the 26 or 27 inch front tires. I have seen 7 inch wheels with the whipsnakes on a revolt and they work quite well. Just my 2 cents worth........
