My buddy Major Mayhem has one for a RZR-S that is almost new. Its got the same muffler as the Redline car applications so all you need is a welder to adapt the mid pipe and the mounts. PM him if interested.

Which is the better exhaust? Gibson or Big Gun - it looks like both get bashed on the site?

I am looking into one myself -

Re: Looking for a used Gibson exhaust

I have owned 3 sets of big gun exhaust systems on tree different revolts and never had a problem. My tip would be stay on top of the packing. I belive most failures are from blowing the packing out and running muffler without packing. That's my 2 cents

I blew out 2 Big Gun mufflers on my Riot in less than a day of riding - 2.5 hours on the first (packing gone, end cap blew off) and 4 hours on the second. I switched to a Gibson exhaust, ran it for over year without issue.

Here's the Big Gun after 2.5 hours on the Riot:

Looking at your photo the big gun sticker is brown due to the packing being blown out causing excessive temp in muffler. Lack of mantiance top screw backed out and put more pressure on screw that ripped out the aluminum. It clearly shows there was operator error. Like I said I have had 3 big guns on my 3 revolts and had no failures or problems. From your photo you were probably using the old style packing without the stainless steel inner backing for the packing.

Clearly operator error or lack of maintenance? Seriously - 2.5 hours on the muffler.

1: Buy exhaust for $380
2: Install exhaust
3: Drive on dunes for 2.5 hours and muffler blows apart

There is absolutely no operator error there. If Big Gun has a packing quality issue, it should have been installed during manufacture and before shipping it out. When I buy an exhaust system, I don't expect to "Repack" it with upgraded packing before running it.
