I have a rebuilt gen 2 gearbox for sale. It has new bearings and seals plus a brand new shift slider gear installed ($150 part). It also has the extra 1/4" pipe thread upper rear vent to 3/8" hose barb installed. The large intermediate gear has been warn down on the edge about 20% from the trans popping out of gear. The shift detent ball had a bur in the hole so it didn't hold the shift fork in place as designed. That is why it has a new shift slider gear installed now plus the bur has been removed. The intermediate gear assembly is not available so the teeth have been dressed with a die grinder. There is still 80% tooth contact with the new shift slider gear so it functions as it should but it isn't perfect. This gearbox was purchased new and only had 2 trips to the dunes on it. It had problems popping out of gear right from the beginning and it took us 2 trips to discover the bur was the problem. Buyer to pay shipping charges from 97045. I have been told that Speedwagon has the intermediate gears and axle for a gen. 1 gearbox in stock. They do fit in the gen. 2 case and a forum member has used this set up for 2 seasons with success. So it may be possible to buy a set of the gen. 1 intermediate gears and axle (3 pieces) to replace the warn gear in this gearbox.
