Fox 2.0 or 2.5?

Brought my front Fox shock to a shock guy for nitrogen an he said they are the Fox 2.5's.
I thought Redlines came with Fox 2.0's.
Did I luck out and get better shocks?
Whats the difference besides size?

You ever stop and think maybe those 40 views are from people that don't have the answer to that question or they don't want to give him the wrong answer so they don't respond?

Re: Fox 2.0 or 2.5?

Thanks for the specs they are definitely 2.5's
2nd question was:
I thought Redlines came with Fox 2.0's.
Did I luck out and get better shocks?

Further question did some redlines come with the 2.5's?

They came with 2.0's. The 2.5's were never an option that was offered in there line up through the dealerships. That one could have been a custom one off. Redline has done a few custom things that I know of along the way. I actually own a black XL. Ron Awtry got the first two tone Riot as far as I know. There have been a few made since and I think Jetrench's XL has full sides just like a regular Revolt.

Re: Fox 2.0 or 2.5?

The Guys at HMF said they changed the suspension and the exhaust and custom Graphics etc. It was listed that way on the Ebay Ad from the Company in Ohio( I believe it was) that listed the Revolt. They were racing the unit so very probable that they ( HMF) would have made the change as part of their "Pimp" process...

Re: Fox 2.0 or 2.5?

Yes they changed the suspension by making custom pieces to narrow it to under 60 inches. From what I understand the shocks were retained. I think Redline was experiementing with the 2.5's on this Demo unit before they gave it HMF for the GNCC conversion/pimp job. The custom intake exhaust and fuel controller were also nice additions. I'm sure if they spent way over a grand on new shocks they would have listed that also as a selling point. I will call Hans @ HMF to verify my suspicions. He talked to me extensively about the limiting cables he added to all 4 of the shocks for weight transfer. He said they help prevent roll over by lifting the inside wheel thus planting the outside. Before the cables he said it would lean and lean more and then roll over in high speed cornering.
