shock question?

My stock shocks on my standard Revolt are a little soft, I like everything except the compression is a little soft. I am starting by adding 20cc of oil to the existing oil. What is the stock pressure and what pressure should I try to start with. What oil should I use since I am just adding it to the existing oil. thanks

Re: shock question?

I added 30cc of Belray 3w directly to the shocks and am running 250psi in rear and 210 in the front. I think factory is 275 rear and 225 front. I am really happy with the improvements it made to my ride. No more hiking the front wheel and turns at speed 100% better.

Re: shock question?

Check out this link I started a year or two ago.

https://www.redlineutvforums.net/susp...ck-tuning.html

The FOX nitrogen shocks are only as good as the design. I ended up reaching a point where I just couldn't make them any better........and they still lacked a lot. I had the chance to drive a buddies with Elka coilovers and WOW what a difference!!!! Keep that in mind.....

Re: shock question?

I am or have considered selling my 06 LTR and getting some coilovers. But man, sell the quad and get 4 shocks instead and a few extra bucks. I just can not do it yet. Maybe tomorrow. I am pretty happy with my suspension in general for the riding I do. It all really depends on where and how you ride IMO. But I know when I do put them on I will probably say I should of done it a long time ago.

Re: shock question?

I have no regrets putting the Elkas on mine, but I have no wife or kids or college to pay for either.
