Re: Video form Glen Helen Nov 7Th

Its funny that the 20 year old pilot is still winning as many races as they do.I guess Honda was just way ahead of there time back then?Looks like everyone had a great time,I will be getting mine ready for next season,I have my motivation watching everybody...

dont forget that the pilot also has 20 years of experience and time to learn how to make them fast. Once we get the cornering down we will be right with them. And we look forward to having you race with us. The more cars the better the racing.

I'm sure you are right,I like the Revolt alot also.I think they will be the future of buggie racing. How is the durability of them,I thought I read that someone toasted a motor?I love my pilot,I just need some tlc in the suspension department as well as motor. But it has been very reliable for me.You guys look plenty fast down the straights but I agree that the corners are killin you guys.Thats just what it seems like to me from the video?I would love to drive one and compare the difference between the pilot...

The toasted motor was a 2 stroke stadium light. I broke a gear in my gearbox. I have done a lot of desert riding over woops that im sure arent easy on the gerabox. But overall the Revolts a more reliable than any UTVs ive seen racing. The pilots are awsome. I know i wanted one as a kid.

I have went back and forth with mine if I should sell it or not but they are still on top.I would love to get Tims Drakart but for now I think I will just put money into old faithful.I would sell mine and buy Jesse's pilot because he has all the long travel that I want.

Just an idea, but here's a sway bar outfitter to look at for cornering. I've been lookin into it myself for the Riot. There's hardware, arms etc so you can put the kit together yourself without a prefab and it looks more cost effective this way than several production UTV bars out there........

The Honda has one thing, that needs to incorporated into the Redline trans. There is a "Slip Clutch" built in. What it dose is take out shock loads, by slipping. Jumps, with wide open throttle, will kill just about any transmission.
When you jump and land in the Honda, that little clutch slips a little bit, and dissipates that energy as heat.
You can see the housing for it near the top of your Pilot trans. Its about 3" in diameter.

Bearfoot,
Funny thing as someone just used this in another thread, but that's a key component to keeping my Nitro Methane R/C cars from tearing themselves apart!! A slipper clutch!!
