Re: 2012 NOORA short course races near Pittsburgh

First race of the season is in the books. Had a great time. Placed 3rd in 1st heat 8 lapper.
2nd race I was side by side for the lead at exit of 1st corner and my battery, I've been bragging about, internally dead shorted as the positive terminal post gave up and broke internally. Ran and started great all day then tested to no voltage at all after being pushed back to pits.
The good news is the swaybars and holeshot tires beadlocks and rebuilt shocks made this thing haul ass thru the corners like I had hoped. It felt like it was on rails and the Pilots no longer had the advantage in the corners. Stable and predictable thru the corners and much less lifting of the inside front wheel.
I hope the dead shorted battery did not affect my ECM of power steering computer. Will update ya'll when more is revealed.

Re: 2012 NOORA short course races near Pittsburgh

Did a live chat with Ramesh thru Amazon about my battery failure.
Found my invoice on their site.
They refunded the entire purchase price to my Amazon card no questions asked except that I dispose of the battery properly.
I cannot say enough good things about retailers like Amazon who treat people right.
Battery was 16 months old with a 2 year warranty.
By the way, this was my Odyssey 625 battery I have talked up about in previous post. I am grateful I bought it thru Amazon instead of ebay.
I will also post this as a separate general discusion topic so others can benefit.

Re: 2012 NOORA short course races near Pittsburgh

Race video from 5/12/12:
I Got to start inside !st row due to lucky draw. I followed the 2 fastest pilots for most the race. The homebuilt/camera buggy came thru the field to follow me a few laps then passed me as one of the lead pilots broke.
This left me in third and the camera buggy in second. Notice how my inside wheel was barely lifting during hard cornering. The second race you can see one of the fast pilots run over my back wheel when my Revolt quit in the first corner.
