Thumbs up REvolt King Shocks follow up!!

Hey Guys, just wanted to provide you guys with some follow up info....

- I had a chance a week before the GH race to go do some testing, but a couple things had come up and I didnt have chance to do a write up sooner... but now here it is...

THe King shocks feel great!!!! .... I drove it trough some real rough terrain and some really tight corners and the increase in performance was really noticable.... much better handling now on those corners... and those kings eat those woops as if it was breakfast, lunch and dinner all together.... I just had to play a little with the clicker adjusters to dial in exacly to the point where I wanted those shocks....

The king shocks have passed the first test, on the turns and bumps.. now they just have to pass the jumping part...

there wasnt any jumps were I was at, but I know that at glen helens next race i should be able to hang in there better, since i did feel lots of improvement... cant wait to go out racing!!! I might be there one day before, to dial in really good, just to make sure that I dont have to stiffen up the springs a bit with the jumps.... but overall they rocked....

I didnt have a chance to take pictures that day, I was more concerned for the testing, but Ill try to take a picture of the car tommorrow so you guys can check the out.... they look good too..... Really happy with those kings...

Re: REvolt King Shocks follow up!!

One recomendation that I give you guys if you are going to get reseirvors, is to get piggybacks (at least on the front ones)..... I didnt get them piggybacks because I didnt want the resirvor to be exposed and I also wanted to save a couple bucks, so I endended up welding a tube on the front of the frame, to attach securely the front reseirvors...

the rear reseirvors were really easy to secure, I just did a hole on the plastic to run trough the clamps, and that was it....

Kevin did mention to me that King could make them piggybacks with the 90 degree angle, so that they wouldnt be exposed to flying rocks....but I insisted... lol

but now that I think about it, if I were to purchase them again I think I would get them piggypacks...

- just my point of view, if you dont want to hastle around with the reseirvors...

Re: REvolt King Shocks follow up!!

give Kevin (TOYS 4 BIG BOYS) a call, or send him a PM.

He is the contact you want for the king shocks pricing.... I know there was different prices in regards to the options that one has, such as adjusters, reseirvors, & piggybacks.. depending on your specifications on the shock, the less things it has, the lower the price...

He also sells the front upper a arms for the revolt, you need them for the front coil over clearance... maybe he can give you guys a package pricing with the a arms or something... give him a call...

to sum it all up, the kings should save you a couple hundreds of bucks that you could be spending on other mods vs. the Elkas, from my understanding in regards to the current pricing....

Re: REvolt King Shocks follow up!!

Strong work,

Like I have been preaching. Kings are the only way to go. Those shocks look great on your car and they are made to handle way more than you could ever dish out to them. The only way to get something better is to go with bypasses plus coils or air like the Revolt X but, there is a price to pay in weight.

It makes you have to keep working on the motor to keep up with the stock weight guys. Anyway, its great to see thase great shocks on your car. Also, If anyone cares, the will custom make them in any color you want. I have red ones on my Rhino.
