Finally got a desert racer

After several months of trying to sell my Redline Revolt to buy this race ready rhino i was finally able to sell it.

This car was ran by Brent Cook in the 2007 BITD Series

Here are some of the specs

it has a 693cc motor, black rhino cdi box, alt kit, dual batteries, 12 gal fuel cell, so cal utv +6 long travel with gorilla axles, walker evans shocks with in cab remote reservoirs, 6 maxxis big horns on omf beadlocks, lowrance 540c gps, and a rear view camera. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but that gives you a idea of what i have.

Some of the things I'm getting ready to do/install are custom hand controls(I'm going to try and leave the foot controls in this time),
complete race radio system with intercom(from Rugged Radio's), move the gauges closer to the passenger side, custom race exhuast and a 5lb fire system(from DJ Safety). That should get me ready to race this thing. The plan is to have this ready for the SNORE Rage at the River event.

Here are photo's of my new ride.

Re: Finally got a desert racer

That is nice! I would love to try my hand at desert racing. I like the idea of man and machine against the terrain not man and machine AGAINST my machine. I do not mind wrecking or rolling my car but I hate the idea of someone taking me out. Good luck and post us some vids of that thing racing. I was wondering, in the first pic, how did you get that canoe in the bed of that thing? LOL

Maybe Ronny and I will see you on the race course? What racing series do you think you are going to run in?

Did you end up selling your Revolt to someone who will benefit from you hand controls or are they going to have to switch it back?

that would be cool mike, right now i'm working to race the 2 SNORE races first 1 is in laughlin the weekend of dec 10-12 and the 2nd one is in feb both are 2 day events.

Did you end up selling your Revolt to someone who will benefit from you hand controls or are they going to have to switch it back?

the person i sold it to will leave the door but switch the controls back, and it will be sand bound for as long as he owns it.

sweet race ready rhino. I like the fact that the seats are not lowered to the floor board. That will give you better visibility looking down at the road instead of looking at the terrain at a really low level.

May I ask, what did you pay for your rhino?

actually the seats do sit really low. originaly the guy was asking $14,000 i ended up paying $7,000 and got tons of spares including a complete top end, and a 7 x 12 trailer. i'm really excited about the deal.
