Re: Glen Helen Schedule Just got a Text that the first race is being postponed because of severe weather. 80% chance of rain and Snow. So those of you stll waiting for Gearboxes have until April 2 to get ready. |

Re: Glen Helen Schedule if we bring in 5 or more cars I will personally offer $100 to first place. We need to show up and give the series a real chance. Transponders can be rented for $40 instead of purchased but get there early to make sure you get one. |

Re: Glen Helen Schedule Here is the deal, If the series can make money we will get paid. They are close to getting some title and class sponsors and if they bring in 80 or so vehicles total it will be a success. We need to just show up at least for the first race and put on a good show. get people excited to bring there friends. This is the only real short course series that we can race at. There are a lot of expenses that go along with putting this on, tracter work, roll over vehicles, paramedics, etc. It would be nice to win money but in the end i am a racer. its a hobby not a job. I just want to race.. |

Re: Glen Helen Schedule I understand What you are saying and I let them know that we would like some kind of payback. The biggest thing now is Glen Helen wants this series to make them money. Also Lucas Oil is providing an Ambulance and tow vehicles to help. I am just posting what they have told me so they dont get bombarded with the same questions over and over. If we can get a series sponsor that money will go to us. If the overall series makes good money then some of that would be given to the racers. Unfortunately for our first race it looks like 3 of the redlines wont have gearboxes. So car count will be 4 cars at the most. Even the pay classes need 6 vehicles for a payback. If you know any potential series or class sponsors let me know and I can forward the info Lucas Oil Sent me. I dont want to see our class go away. |

Re: Glen Helen Schedule Just a few updates for the Lucas Oil Regional series. Entry fee is $125 Transponders will be required. Rental $40 per race quantities are limited or you can purchase one from Mylaps for $275. Contact Kelly Chase at (678) 816-4000 Ext 302. As of now there will be no payout for our class unless we can get a sponsor for our class. This might change based on car count and fan base.
