Re: soon to be new riot owner, need tire suggestions Scott is right on the STU Blasters. I tried the 10 paddle Scat Traks and they just weren't enough paddle. The Riot needs the float of a comp cut STU Blaster, otherwise you'll be digging trenches in the sand all day long... |

Re: soon to be new riot owner, need tire suggestions It is in your best interest to spend the time and make the phone call for the the wheel & tires. You will save $300 to $400 The sand blasters worked great without the turbos. |

Re: soon to be new riot owner, need tire suggestions thanks man, i appreciate the quick response. I was thinking of have red rock powersprots quote me the exact set up you said, but im sure it would be cheaper to pick them up in portland. would you have a preferance on width? This will be my first SxS so I am not sure about a lo tof things. Are all you oregon guys running turbo revolts? Would love to see those things flying by, hopefully one day ill put a turbo on the riot. Thanks again, Steve |

I am in Washington, but take a trip down to florence atleast once a month and will be heading east occasionally. I have been looking at the sandblaster 26's like the oregon guys run, but is that to much tire for a stock riot? Maybe a 10 or 12 paddle would be better without a turbo? and as far as dimensions, im assuming a 10inch wheel and 12 wide tire would be the way to go?
Also if anyone has suggestions for a good, strong, light beadlock wheel that would be great? Thanks in advance for any help, looking forward to taking part in this forum and hopefully meeting some other redlines! # 1 paddle. As for wheels, I think the best wheel for the money would be the Hiper Carbon fiber Sidewinder beadlock. You can get widths from 4 inch to 10 inch wide with about any setback you want. They are a two piece carbon fiber, front and back bolted to a billet aluminum center. You can also get black, red, green, pink, orange locking rings. PM me and I will give you some info on prices..... You can get the tires locally at Oregon Motorsports in Clackamas Or. Kris will give you a good price and does the cutting also. Tires will probably be somewhere around 320 to 350 comp cut each. Check with Eric, EasyE on the forum, he used to have a Riot and I am sure he will concure with my suggestion. Are you buying Chucks riot. Look forward to meeting you and riding at Florence. There is a lot of combined experience and knowledge available to make your ride the best it can be. Feel free to ask for advice, it is gladly given...... Later, Scott |
