Looks like it handles the rough stuff pretty well at that speed.

We will probably have to go with a bigger gas tank in the future, a 5 gal tank is probably not going to cut it needing to stop more to refuel. We did leave room to expand to a bigger tank, 7-8 gal will work much better.
Did you get a chance to run this race? If so, how did the suspension hold up?

Desert Fox don't let them drunk Braapers mess with you! They are just haterz on your fly dune digger. Go grab an ankle full of loud pipe and wave all the way to the checkers.

I have always liked the RedLine line even with some of the things I consider negatives. I will not list the negatives to insure you or anyone else does not get their panties in a bind. But if I have an issue with a negative and post my opinion, oh well, deal with it.

Now, have I had an issue with the Weber motor? Nope. But my opinion is, RedLine to me would have been better off going with a wet sump engine. Having an engine with no drain plug for the oil to me, MY OPINION, is ludicrous. Having to suck out oil here and blow out oil there. And, I thought Polaris was bad installing their oil filter horizonally, Weber/RedLine installs their filters up side down. Unscrew, oil comes out, and with the Weber motor it pools in the filter housing and then you got to suck that out.

So there, MY personal opinion on the Weber motor oil changing procedure for a dry sump engine.
I don't get a lot of oil out the filter area when I change the oil. After I pump it out I let it sit for a few minutes then pull the filter. I also bib the opening with a rag so that anything that trickles out ends up in the rag. I do think the location as it relates to a Redline application is a pain to get to.

I personally like the dry sump. Without a oil pan you can lower the engine in the machine (lower CG), you don't have oil sloshing around in the pan going up hills and around corners at speed, which can cause oil supply problems. If you think about it you could increase the oil capacity by changing the size of the sump. It has also been shown that a crank that is not playing in the oil will increase Hp! I think the only real disadvantage is IMO the cost of the components to accomplish it.
