My New XL

I picked up the XL that was for sale on the forum this weekend. I have my Revolt sold and will be picked up Friday so I've been swapping things that won't be going with it. I need to make front and rear bumpers, install my HID lights and finish the turbocharger install and I'll be done. Stay tuned, should have it done in a month or 2.

Re: My New XL

Jet, I was wondering what happened to that XL. That is the only XL I've seen with the high side panel like a revolt. It sure makes it look alot better. Must have been a special order. Did you get all the turbo kit parts with the car? Why didn't Chad finish the install? I'm sure you'll have it working great in no time. Good luck. I'm turbo charging my Revolt with alot of the same parts that yours has got. Sandracer, you and I will have to compare notes.

Re: My New XL

Pilot anytime you need any info I have let me know. I will answer some of the questions about Jets car. Chad did not finish the install because he was not suppose to . He did the internals and Ed was to finish the rest. Cost savings. Ed got disgusted with the service from Chad and gave up. He had a hard time getting all of his parts from Chad. All the parts are there just needs to be finished up. It was a sweet deal for Jet for sure. I do not think Chad is in business anymore. The kit on it is just like mine, ( for now) Jet has plans. Keep us posted on your progress. That makes 3 of us.

Re: My New XL

Thanks for answering the questions Todd, I was up late last night getting the Revolt ready for pick up tomorrow. Pilot, yes Ed did special order it that way and he paid $300 extra to have it done. I'm going to get after it and try to get it done quickly because until it's done I have nothing to ride. I'm going to get my buddy who is a composite guru down this weekend to see if I can get him to make a carbon fiber scoop for the intercooler. Anybody want one, I'm sure he can make 3 just as easily as 1. I'll keep you posted but don't expect anything this weekend, I think I will kick back and relax, it's been a busy week.

Re: My New XL

Jet and Sandracer, thanks for the info. One of my best buddy's here in Oregon was the Oregon waistland installer. He has given up on Chad also. He still talks to him once in awhile, but has not been able to get anything from him for several months. It took over 3 months to get his own RZR done because of slow parts shipping. He had most of another kit, but Chad had him ship it to someone else. Now my buddy has decided to upgrade all his turbo stuff to Mark Queen high output over 200hp level. So I'm getting all of the take offs. I am getting all the misc together to finish the project. Its going to be nice because the turbo, ecu and injectors have all been tested out in his RZR at 15lbs boost and it hauls. He has the same intercooler you guys have and he just got a 2 fan kit that is pretty much a bolt on that would work perfect on your cars. I'm mounting my cooler in front of the radiator so I'm hoping not to need the fans. I think he got the fans from Queen, but if your interested I can find out for sure. The manual boost controller that Chad supplies is a pos also. My buddy uses one from BoostController.com LLC - America's Source for High quality turbo boost controllers, silicone hose, and more performance products - 877-836-6155- precision boost control. Turbosmart Warehouse Distributor and it works great, stays constant all the time. I'm rambling on but I sure like the looks of your new ride.

Re: My New XL

Hey Mike,

The pics I was going to post are already on the forum and it won't let me repost so they are under the engine thread titled XL turbo. I just searched for xl turbo. If they are not enough info let me know and I will take more.

Re: My New XL

Well, finally finished and ready to head to Waynoka tomorrow. Spent more time and $$ than I thought I would but am happy with the result.
