Re: L E D light bar

The biggest problem, with adding extra lights on a Redline, is the low stator output. The ECM goes stupid with low voltage. If the battery voltage runs low (10 volts), the car won't start or run.

This happened to me. It nearly left me stranded, in the Wasatch Mountains. It gets cold, at 9,000 feet and it happened in July.

To fix this problem, I replaced the stock battery, with a 310 CCA Interstate Cycle-tron #FAYTX20HL. I changed the battery location, to the front of the car. This made it easier to get to and moved 13 pounds, up front for better weight balance. I built a mount and a plastic battery box to hold it.
I also carry some small jumper cables, in the car.

Lights;

Recently, I bought a single Rigid Dually D2, from Mike at RRP. It comes in 3 patterns,
flood, driving, and spot. I ordered the driving light. It puts out 2600 lumens, using only 28 watts. It's very bright! I think you could use 2, if you disconnected the stock lights. That would use 56 watts @ 12volts (4.66 amps).

I haven't installed it yet, so sorry no pictures. I did attach a photo of my battery mount.

what is the biggest battery that I can put on my Revolt and will a 13.5 inch led lightbar fit up top without sticking out the sides. Also want to add 2 led's up front, what do you recommend?

Re: L E D light bar

Thank you for the info. Much appreciated. Is it possible to have the stator rewound for a higher output? Also where do you get the battery cables to move the battery to the front?

Re: L E D light bar

A friend of mine just bought a 18" Vision X led light bar and other utv lighting accessories for his Revolt. Also he upgraded his oem battery with a higher capacity and a volt stabilizer as customer service recommendation. So far after the installation he never had any problem with it.
