I'm just not a fan of it being up front. In this car.

Mainly because of the gas tank & the front is usually the first point of impact.
impact + sparks + gas fumes = fire

That's how it works with my luck mostly. LOL

I thought of that too. So thats why the battery is wrapped with 3/8" UHMPE plastic and bolted down. I also put on a better bumper.

A cool side affect of adding 12.4 lbs to the front of the car is, it handles a lot better. A little weight to help those front tires find some traction. The Battery I chose is a Interstate Cycle-Tron Plus 310 CCA #FAYTX20HL .
I'll agree with that, The more weight up front the better.

I'm running this battery in my turbo revolt. I added water to air intercooler pump and fan as well which are wired to run at key on. I lost my alternator on my maiden voyage (long story) and was able to drive out of the dunes and a couple of miles before I threw a belt. I trailered the car and just put it back in the garage and didn't touch it for a month. When I finally checked the charge it was running 12.4 volts! I was totally impressed! I'll never run another brand battery!
