removing my first clutch

I have a 09 riot. this post is to try & help others like my self. with info from pilot I removed the bolt that holds on the clutch & measured the inside so that I could make my own tool. the thread is a 9/16-18. there is a c-bore of about .400 from the face to the start of the threads that are about 1.5 long the hole depth is 10.00 inches. taking these measurements I came up with needing a 2.00 inch long grade 8 bolt 9/16-18 & a 3/8 extension that is longer than 9.00 inches. the 9/16 thread is smaller than the female head on the drive so you need to cut it off leaving 8.5inches weld this on to the bolt trying to kept it centered, after welding grind a taper around the weld and threads so thatc you can get a 9/16-18 nut to thread on. now you are ready to start pulling. we used a pry bar on the socket head cap screws to hold it while we started to apply a lot of pressure & pot its off the tool work great @ a cost of less than 10$ I hope this helps others.

Sounds good. My buddy Major Mayhem did the same thing except he didn't even weld the bolt to the extension and it popped the clutch off easily with just driving the bolt in tight with a impact gun and then hitting the head of the bolt with a hammer. Way cheaper than a $100.00 puller.
