Angry Electrical Problem? ? ? ?

Went racing this Saturday and went to start the revolt. It started and stalled like it usually dose. Went to start again and it wouldn't start. Had to jump it to get started and now runs like crap and misses and I don't know why? Got it back home and still won't start. Also when I had it running at track the Speedo acted like a tach. Now got a battery charger on it and it still won't start.

Okay. I'll try that also. I can't even get it to start right now. The starter solenoid just clicks even with a battery charger on it on a 50 amp boost. This really makes me mad. Haven't had a problem with it when I bought it 2 years ago with .2 miles on it.

Check your ground cable...........from battery to frame.

I was thinking all the battery cables especially if you've never checked any of them before. Ours seem to come loose quite often. The ones under the air intake plenum are usually overlooked and the bolt in the block is usually loose. The main ground is on the frame and be sure and check the ones on the starter sylinoid since that is what the power goes through to give power to the dash etc. Your speedo acting strange suggests a bad ground or power connection. The MAP sensor usually has a flashing check engine light flashing if the check engine light wires are still connected. We usually check most of these connections when we do our oil changes every 3 rides to the dunes.

Re: Electrical Problem? ? ? ?

Okay now. I just put jumper cables on the revolt started right up and ran good. Take one of the cables off and it wants to miss. This is the original battery since 2007. It sounds like to me a bad battery. Checked voltage while running with no load and reads almost 14 volts while running. I'm going to have the battery checked tomorrow. I'll let you know what they get when they test it. New battery is 103.00 with exchange. Not bad.

New battery
Easy fix
It sounded like the same issue I had but I could still crank it over
My engine light never came on
Cleaned the map sensor fired right up

Got it. Dead battery even though it said it was at 67% charged. New battery is 103.00 with exchange.
