Thinking about Riot or 900xp?

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Riot, but those xp900 are looking nice , any insight? Are these Riots a blast and hold there own against all the other new side x sides?

Please help me decide...

Re: Thinking about Riot or 900xp?

We love our riot and it is a blast to have something so different! Every time we take it out, people check it out because its something different lol! The riot in stock form is not going to outrun an XP in a drag race or anything but it holds its own. If you have some mechanical abilities, you could probably pick up a stock riot and do a turbo conversion on it for the same money or less than a late model XP. I would think it just depends on you, your capabilities, your riding style, and where you plan to ride as to which one is best for you.

Good luck!!

What kinda top speeds could I expect to see, and what's price would a 2009 with about 90 hrs bring.

I have both in stock form. The 900 is faster in the drags its also a 4x4,but I feel more secure in my riot at hi speeds and jumping. The riot is more comfortable and more fun to drive. It really depends where you drive and what preferance you have.
Good luck on your decision.

The reality of it is, Redline is out of business.
Polaris is not.
If you can get the XP1000, get it!
If your getting a great price on the XP900, that's fine too.
Bot are great machines & the aftermarket for them is awesome.
Plus factory parts are readily available just about everywhere.
The Polaris will get you down the road with a lot less headache.
Based on the circumstances right now,I think you will be much happier.

Based on your clutching & tire size & if you are getting it up to 8500 rpm fully clutched out, I'd say right around 70-72 MPH.
I have an XL Revolt, both have the same drive train & motor, I have a 27" tire(27 on the sidewall that matches the stock 26" size in height) on the rear & that's what mine does.

Long term parts availability will be an issue with the Riot.

For sure!!!!
If you are going to own a Redline you better be able to wrench and fab or you are wasting time and money. Everything can be fabricated. Thats how you build stuff.
Transmissions and front spindles are the only real problem I see for most of us. The trans can be replaced with an rpm. Just a little pricey is all.
My brother had an xp for 3 years and just "traded down" to a revolt xl. Rush and safety is the reason. He tore the shit out of that xp every year trying to keep pace with our Revolts.
