Riot suspension pivot points.

I found that all the pivot points were locked up in that the inner spacer was locked into the bushings so tight that it was hard to get them out. What this did is made the bushing move with the a-arms and trailing arms instead of the other way around. I found this when I tightened up all the pivot bolts while I had the front shocks removed and I couldnt even move the arms LOL!

I took it all apart and machined about .005" off each spacer and then greased everything and put it all back together and now it is nice and smooth.

Just something to look for and think about because if you just leave the bolts loose to keep the pivot points free, it will eventually damage the holes in the chassis.

Re: Riot suspension pivot points.

That was an issue at the factory and I brought it up to QC but they didn't think it was a problem, I knew it would be down the road. I even showed them a swingarm off my Yamaha atv to prove how they should be but they still wouldn't budge. Maybe it was because they had 2000 bushings machined (outsourced) and never paid the bill and didn't want to go back to the supplier and have them made right.
