Emissions Label

Does anyone know if there is an emmissions label (49 state or 50 state) on the Riot? If so, where?

Re: Emissions Label

i dont think these redlines have to meet any requirements for that..
at least in az..if your in a state that requires a motorcycle to be inspected then you do to be regestered...ck your local laws...you might have to go down to an emissions certification station and have them
certify it...i hope this helps you some

Re: Emissions Label

Here in the great state of California it is required. I learned, with some help from another member, It is on top of the valve cover.

Re: Emissions Label

The Redline cars ( all 3 models) are CARB certified and 50 state emissions legal with the standard factory OEM setup engine and drive train. This was an expensive process and Dan Schorpfer from Weber detailed the process and the expense. Where you will run into trouble is if you modify anything from factory original-IE: turbo, modified intake or exhaust, big gun programmer, or anything that changes the emissions and or the actual wight and size of the vehicle beleive it or not. The Vehichle as a whole and not just the engine is certified based upon wight and performance figures. This is the main Reason my partner and I chose the Redlines for the Rental fleet we were building, because they were already CARB certified for all models. You can get a "Like type" certification on the engine and drive train in another similar size and weight frame ( X-rail was looking to do this initially) for much less money but still an expense. I dont think any other state than California will say anything about your rig if you have a modiefied intake, exhaust, programmer, turbo etc. but California does not play well with mods unless you use it for racing on a track only. Technically speaking you can't use it legally in the Dunes or desert unless it is a Race only event per CARB. I think I have the PDF of the CARB cert for the cars if anyone wants a copy I will find and send it to you. PM Me if you want it. My understanding is this is the main Reasoin Chad at Wasteland ran afoul of the EPA with the TUrbo'd motors he was bringing in to the country that were not EPA/CARB Certified.

Yes I had the joy of spending countless hours at the California DMV 3 trips to the dmv with the riot and 2 certified vehical verifiers and wow I have a green sticker and a title , the problem was the DMV pretty much said the sticker is a fake,, that I was a liar,, give us some money get us some more proof on the epa cert and come back again with more money,, makes me proud to live in such a friendly state with such great and a affordable DMV

Re: Emissions Label

In the third world country of South Carolina, you don't even have to get your car inspected. I was thinking of getting the XL road worthy.
