Thinking about a Revolt, many questions though.
Thinking about a Revolt for running the ORV trails in Northern Lower Michigan. I've been a RZR owner since '09 and love it but would like to get a single seat buggy for those times I want to really hammer thru the trails without the "fun governor" (wife) being engaged.
I see most of these are being used in the dunes but does anyone just trail ride them ? If so, how do they handle ? Most of the Michigan trails are a mixture of sand , hardpacked dirt and rocks. What kind of range do they get ? I'm not interested in a turbo or anything , just a reliable fun ride. Since these trails get extremely dusty, how are the machines for that ? Any issues with dust intrusion into the clutches and engine ? Any cooling issues with clutches and engine ? Some of the stretches of trail you can run wide open or close to it for 10 miles or so, then into some tight stuff where you are going 25-30mph. I usually steer clear of mud and water but have been caught in some storms. Any issues with water ?
How is the electrical system ? Would need headlights and tail/brake lights. Also a roof and windshield if possible.
I've only been on this site a few hours but it looks like '09's are the machines to look for , due to the transmission being upgraded. Any other items to look out for ? Are there other differences in the XL besides the length ? How is the fitment for larger people ? I'm only 5'10" but let's just say I'm BMI challenged, so a wide type of individual.
Any info would be great. Thanks !
