Opinion on price..

Looking at getting into my first revolt. Had a pilot and a few ody's but new to the redlines. I have done some research on them so I know what to look for, but not sure what a fair offer would be and some opinions would be greatly appreciated:

2007. 1st gen trans. 1230 miles. Overall it looks rather clean, not all beat up, although the mileage is a little higher than average from what I am seeing. Currently has an overheating issue, says it needs a new fan and that it has never ran too hot, tough to verify "never the ran hot" part of that though. Also it has an issue where it bogs out, owner says it needs a new throttle return spring to correct that???

It's a 14 hour round trip for me to pick it up.... I don't want to buy it sight unseen and have it shipped due to the issues above. Where would you guys be at as a fair price on it?

1230 miles isn't high miles. I would try and pin down the overheating issue. Does the fan turn on? The ECU turns on the fan at 180 deg. Does the fan blow the air to the rear of the car? Some of the first 2007 Revolts were wired backwards causing the fan to blow the air forward causing overheating. Does the car have a water temp gauge? They didn't come with one. The ECU is programmed to go into limp mode when the water temp reaches around 230 deg. I believe. The throttle spring wouldn't cause the engine to bog out. Is the check engine light hooked up and is it flashing? Many are unhooked. There are several things that could be wrong with the car to cause the issues it has. It doesn't sound serious to me. I have seen Revolts selling in the $6,000 to $7200 range for normally aspirated lately. Even higher for extremely nice ones with upgrades.

Thanks for the reply Pilot. I spoke with the seller and we agreed on a reasonable price taking into consideration some repair work will be necessary, it is right in line with those prices you posted. Going to pick it up sunday.
