Mine runs at about 60 psi at wot after the engine is at operating temp. At idle when hot its down to 20 psi or so. It depends on what weight oil you are running also. I tell people that are turboed to run 15-50 or 20-50 wt.

Re: Turbo oil pressure

So I just put a new oil pressure gauge in and it's reading 80 psi at cold idle. I'm running 15w-50. Do I have too much oil in it?

Re: Turbo oil pressure

I just let it run and it got to 55 psi once the fan kicked on. I the turned the motor off and checked the oil. The level was about 1in over the max line. I'm thinking too much oil.???

Mine has close to 90 psi at idle when cold after first starting the engine. That is normal. Over filling the oil level doesn't make any difference to the oil pump as far as pressure. It sounds like you might have too much in it but that isn't going to affect the pressure. The engine temp will change the pressure when the oil is hot and thinner. You need to check it when the oil is hot and as soon as possible after shutting off the engine. Don't screw the cap in to check the oil level, just set in back in to check level.
