Check engine light wiring

I just bought a redline revolt brought it home and I noticed that the check engine light wire harness was cut where do they go connected and I've been trying to find some wires that are cut that may resemble a connection but I can't seem to find anything does anybody have a wiring diagram

There are probably 2 wires close by that are not connected to anything. One should be pink and the other is blue. It doesn't matter which connects to the light wires. I think those are red and black. The check engine light on many early 2007 Revolts would flash when nothing was wrong. The temporary fix from Redline was to cut the wires until the ECU's were reflashed. Weberpower can still do the reflash if needed. I don't think its free anymore.

Re: Check engine light wiring

I actually had some come thru my shop and the factory had quit hooking them up altogether...My personal one was like that. They asked the dealers to contact the customers and have them bring the cars in for the ECU update in July of 2008 for the ECU issue reflash which also addressed a cold start issue. Along with that they had safety recall stuff and product a TSB about bad oil cooler hoses that need to be replaced.

Pilot is right...There is a cost involved now...$150

Re: Check engine light wiring

Yep! You need the update program flashed into your ECU.

Re: Check engine light wiring

No where in LA that I am aware off...Randy at Weber Power is the only one that I know of that has the stuff to do it. I do offer a service for Redline owners that run into this problem since that factory isn't around to back this up anymore... You can send me your ECU and I will verify with my lap top that you flash is out of date before you spend the $150 for the flash. I also pull the correct hours on the ECU for you and check your TPS settings. If it needs to be reflashed I will send it to Weber Power and have it flashed for the $150 and have it sent back to me to plug back in and make sure that nothing like your TPS settings get lost in the flash. I can put them back if needed. I do this for "No Charge" because I want to make sure the owners are supported since the factory is closed. Let me know if I can help you otherwise send it to Randy at Weber Power as Pilot said and he will flash it for you for $150.

Mike
