fuel pump upgrade

Has anyone upgraded their fuel pump ? If so, what have you found to be the best replacement? The one in it is a Walbro model #GSL 393 (160 LPH), which I believe is the factory unit. I am looking at the 255 LPH walbro.

Thanks, Frank

Frank, that is the one that a few of us have changed to (255 LPH). It bolts in and works great. Its available for around $90.00 on e-bay. Make sure the filter is between the tank and the pump. It has plenty of pressure and will self prime fuel out of the tank.

Re: fuel pump upgrade

Curious...Did you increase / upsize the ID of the fuel lines when you put the bigger pump in? Thinking...... if I have it torn down that far, might be a good time to change it all out if it would be beneficial

Frank

I just used the same size as stock (5/16"). The existing pump fittings work fine and the Turbosmart fuel rail adapter and fuel pressure regulator come with 1/8" pipe thread tapped holes so 5/16" ID hose is all you need.
