Re: What are the options for oil filters?

17 views in just the first hour and no responses? Surely someone changes their oil filters from time to time

Was trying to find out if their is an aftermarket brand that would work....I am sure I can order one from Mike at RedRock, but wanted to see if their was an alternative quality brand.....

Input would be great!

Weber filter is all I am aware of. Never heard of any other option in my 5 yrs of ownership.

I assume Weber 101109 MPE 750 is the correct filter?

Re: What are the options for oil filters?

You can get them from Mike or Weberpower.com
I bought the aluminum filter cover as well, Nice piece, I don't trust myself with the stock plastic one.

You can get a stock Weber filter from those places mentioned and you can also get one from any Polaris dealer. They are the same filter as the FST snowmobile or the jet ski they used to make. The only difference is the rubber O-ring for the aluminum cover on the FST and watercraft engine is not the same O-ring that the Redline plastic cover takes. They do work though, they just screw on a little harder. Most of us here in Oregon have put on external oil filter housings that take a Ford spin on filter. You just have to leave out the stock filter and put the spin on adapter inline before the oil goes into the oil cooler. It makes it simple to change oil and pump out the oil under the adapter with the filter off. My filter only costs me $1.89 each. We change oil every three rides so the adapter will be paid for real fast. Randy at Weberpower is working on a kit to sell on his website.
