Stretched frame

Has anyone ever tried to stretch the frame to make it a little longer. Was thinking of cutting the frame in front of the trailing arm adding 6inch or so. Gusset it and weld. How muck room is there to move the seat back and peddles forward? Just trying to see different options. The xl's are out of my price range but the standard ones I have money left to do some things. If there is a post somewhere on this could you let me know. I couldn't find one. Thanks.

That would be a XL. The factory lengthened the Revolt by about 9 or 10 inches.

If you cut the frame and lengthen you will be stuck with having to remake or patch the body work also. You can rotate the seat back to gain about 3". The peddles can be modified to gain at least another 1 1/2". That is how my Revolt is and it is very comfortable. My water/methanol tank is between the seat and the gas tank. Normally on a Revolt there is no space between the seat and gas tank. I'd try to do it without lengthening the frame. The throttle cable and shift cable, wiring harness are also longer on a XL. The roof is longer also, you would be causing yourself a bunch of work.
