Re: What's wrong with new revolts?

Wastland Performance doesn't seem to be able to follow through for this poor guy that has spent a lot of money and has tried in vain to get satisfaction. Mike at Redrock Powersports may be able to locate some of the parts that you are missing and Randy at Weber Power should be able to help with any Weber parts but all that will cost you, but at least you might end up with complete vehicles. Sorry to here this because Wastland seems to be in control of all the new Redline inventory that is left. I have talked to several people that have not been able to get anything from Wastland. He doesn't seem to be interested in selling parts, just complete (or incomplete) cars.

We race rally and cross country.. lots of speed, corners and some jumps..

Mike is helping me a lot with parts!

But people here now prefer the can am maverick or rzr 900

No quality control at all, all the bolts very loose, seems the just putted together for sale, and after 3 months of weekly emails I got some of that parts, and some of them never got..
The thing is.. Here the people are crazy about revolts and I want to buy more, but will never buy again from that place, someone Knows if there is another company, a serious one? Or the redlines will become a legend as honda pilots did?
wow! Really Luis, we may want to explain the whole situation, and how things transpired.

First and foremost! Things havent been smooth on this sale. We have had numerous issues arise, whoich we could not control, but did take care of.

1. Units left shop running, and where put into a container to be shipped to South America. We could not control the fact that the water level was so far down that they sat in a shipping container for 2-3 months if I remember correctly.

2. Upon starting the units in South America, to of the weber engines failed the stators, as the magnets became unglued. Have no idea how that happened, have never seen until that failure. I dont carry extra stators/mags, so i disassmbled 2 of my engines, and sent those.

3. Front and rear fenders? Are you kidding me!!! I delivered the units to Florida myself, they had front and rear fenders!!

4. defective ECU, again, they ran when they left, Im not sure what happened to the stator, but we replaced them, and did the same with the ECU's.

Im not going to sit here, and say things went perfect, as it was the first units assembled after striking the deal with Redline, however what has been told above, is not 100% accurate.

Luis

You have never called to say the ECU's which were sent did not fix the problem, I'm not sure how I am to fix it for you, if you don't tell me there is a problem.

Please send email, or give me a call, so we can handle this properly. I'm not going to do my business through the forum.

Re: What's wrong with new revolts?

Lightbulb Re: What's wrong with new revolts?

I guess the best way to describe it for me is Redline is a true factory performance machine. Which means you better be capable of working, tuning, and fabricating. There is no factory warranty or local service for them.
I have driven the xp and now the Can Am Maverick not the xrs model and I will take my Revolt and all of it's problems. For me the Revolt is like driving an off road sports car and the sxs feel like i am driving an off road truck.
The sxs center of gravity is higher and driver offset. Less suspension travel by 3" than the Revolt. And with my turbo and what would cost to do a turbo on a new maverick or rzr the Revolt turbo is cheaper and a way more performance and adrenaline rush.

The only downside is the wife or kids can't ride along. That is where the market gets hard for ANY single seat manufacture, it is a limited market. IMO Redline is the best attempt to satisfy the market in the USA for a bigger badder Honda Pilot. And they did a pretty good job of that.

So I will never tell anyone not to buy a Redline Revolt. They are way too much fun.
Now if you are buying a sxs I am not sure I would probably get the new Maverick xr s or whatever it is. 101hp and 4x4 just on the base model plus the xr s package even better.

I would like to see Can Am make a single seater for sure.

enough of a soapbox.
Revolt is one of a kind and and can't be compared to a sxs really.
Good luck.
