Exclamation Newbie Question: Revot ECU Location

I just purchased a Redline Revolt and need to have the ECU reflashed.

I do not have a shop manual yet (one is coming) so I need help in locating and removing the ECU.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Newbie Question: Revot ECU Location

Well when I bought my Revolt I wondered the same thing. A few seconds latter I followed the big bundle of wires to in front of the right rear wheel or behind the right side of the seat.
I'm smart enough to find it but have no clue as to how to have it reflashed. Please advise/elaborate, pros/cons. Thanks.

Full hand controls, separate braking, DWT beadlocks, 2:1 steering quickener,

Chuck,

Brian is on the money. Right behind your seat on the right hand side and just in front of the tire, there is a mount that has your ECM, Regulator, and Starter relay attached to it. The top one is your ECM. Get a 11/32 1/4" drive socket and remove the three nuts and washers that hold it in place. It is mounted on three studs. Slide the ECM off the studs and unplug the connector. Sometimes the harness is a little tight to pull the ECM off the studs. You will have to take the nut off the rear fender bolt next to the ECM and pull the clamp off the bolt. This will allow the harness to move more freely.

Sounds like you need the update flash.

Mike
