Steering Bearing Flange Cover

The bearing flange on the dash that supports the steering shaft has always looked unfinished against the simulated Carbon Panel-- I guess it is the rust that makes it look unfinished .

I finally got around to setting up my CNC to make an aluminum cover. My biased opinion is that it looks like the part Redline forgot.

Here are some pics of the cover unfinished. I plan on anodizing it red.

I made extras and was planning on putting them on eBay. If anyone here is interested let me know.

Re: Steering Bearing Flange Cover

Thanks for the compliments guys.

The price will be $35 including new hardware and Priority Mail shipping. Note, it does not replace the existing steel flanges, it simply covers them.

The steel flanges have a semi-hemispherical profile to match the bearing so it can "adjust" and still be clamped. So rather than trying to machine that complicated geometry I opted to make it work with the flanges.

The parts should be back from anodizing late next week and ready to ship then. This first batch was 26; one for me and I will start the list for the remaining 25:

sandracer1
miker
Pilot
Zaniac

I will PM payment details when I have parts back to ship.

Re: Steering Bearing Flange Cover

I want one for sure... But I want mine in plain aluminum.. No Anodizing....

Is that possible? How much for one with no Anodizing?
