Seat Bolts

Just wondering has anyone come up with a better idea than the bolts that hold the rear of the Revolts seat in place? Mine never line up and are a pain to put back in place. Is there an easier way?

Re: Seat Bolts

Cut the tabs and reweld them to match your seat is one way.

Or take the seat out and drill the holes just slightly oversized in both the seat and the tabs on the chassis. I think they are 3/8's holes now, could go to 7/16ths or maybe 1/2 and use the same 3/8" bolts.

I was able to just get mine to line up if I did them in a specific order and only inserted them into the holes without tightening the nuts....ie put the bolts in loose all the way around and then put the washers and nuts on.

Option 2 above might just get you there if you are not far off already.

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.......who's bringing the chips?

Re: Seat Bolts

I just welded nuts on the car brackets so I only have to deal with the bolts.

Did you dog nose the bolts to make it easier to start them?

Re: Seat Bolts

No I havent Mike, my main issue is no matter which bolt I put in last it just wont line up. I can leave them all loose and yet that last bolt is a pain to put in. The holes just dont line up. Thanks for the other ideas.

Re: Seat Bolts

My Brother has a new RZR and it has a set up where the seats use a quick release style system which would be really nice to have on the revolts, xl , and riot
after I get done riding for the day I take mine down to my brothers cement plant and use the fire hose on it with hot water from the boiler feed and my seat is just full of water and I have to take it out and drain it so it dont rot out what a pain that is trying to get the bolt back in

any ideas on this can any one fab up something like this ???

Re: Seat Bolts

I put pins and clips all around on mine. Makes it a lot easier in and out.

The XL and Riot have a adjustable seat that somewhat has a quick release system. It uses a pin and clip method. If you want to pull the seat completely out you still have to mess with the seat belts like most seats.
