Hand controlled Revolt Project

Sat in my new revolt for first time today. Cut a door into it and still a tight fit. Next mod install new smaller aluminum gas tank. Then modify steering wheel to a Odyssey wheel with lever throttle. Then modify for hand brake.
In case you wondering; I am a paraplegic who walks with crutches and braces. Still have a need for speed.
Last February I spent a month and several thousand on a RZR-S doing mods before I ever drove it. Attached a few pics of last years project.
I am using this type of tube clamp to maintain structural integrity of frame/top bar on new door.

Hey Brian,
check out Jerrys pictures: https://www.redlineutvforums.net/utvs...ne-revolt.html you might get some ideas so that you dont have to reinvent the wheel.

He already sold his revolt, but he is a cool dude. I bet if you PM him, he could give you more info on the setup that he had...

Re: Hand controlled Revolt Project

I already talked with Jerry. Checked out his mods and got some ideas. I will not go with power steering unless it is too tough to steer with both hands. I will only have to remove my left hand from wheel when braking. I got 30 years experience and put hand controls in at least 40 cars. I have had 6 different car in the last 3 years. I find these projects fun to create something and make it work. I posted (for sale) on RZR Forums today the set of controls I put 20 hours in to get to work on last years RZR-S project. I got them to work with the tilt steering and pedals fully functional. Currently have a camry as daily driver and a V12 BMW 850i for summer days.

Re: Hand controlled Revolt Project

You may need to install the 12" cooling fan on your radiator if the fuel tank blocks the air flow too much. Klemdotter had a RZR gear bag mounted there and ended up moving it because of overheating problems.

Re: Hand controlled Revolt Project

Yes, I thought about the fan upgrade after I saw it mentioned.
Yet its the last thing I'm thinking about when its below 0 and measuring snow by the feet. Maybe I will need a wing on it to keep airflow moving and give me some downforce. Sorry, its almost NASCAR season. Cannot wait to finish and for better weather.

Thanks Stress and others. I am learning alot trolling around here. My need for speed is getting to me. Sliding around the snowy brick streets in a Camry ain't getting it.
Some updates: This Revolt already has custom HMF intake, controller and exhaust and it should be way faster than my RZR-S was last year. Its 400 lbs lighter than the allegedly 1000 lb RZR-S that I added 200 lbs to.
I should be happy with the power the 1st few rides.
Finally got the MSO/title today and it's a 07 not an 08 which explains the gen one tranny and clear gas tank. Got my tank conversion complete and phased the steering shaft. Next the Odyssey steering wheel and hand control install. Really thinking of using a RZR seat to give me some more room inside. A RZR seat will make it like sitting on the floor; as their is not much to it.
