Question for RED ROCK RAILS (UTAH)

or anyone else ??? Red Rock, I see a lot of forumers refer to you and commend you for your fantastic customer service and knowledge. I going to look at a 2007 Revolt on Sat 29 to possibly purchase. 800+ miles on it, all stock....what should I be looking for that would be a red flag? Thanks in advance..

Re: Question for RED ROCK RAILS (UTAH)

The one thing that I would question the seller is if the factory updates have been done yet. Redline came out with a few updates that needed to be done for the 2007 model. The updates pertain to the ECM and oil cooler hoses. Also included is a throttle stop that needs to be installed. If in hasn't been done you will need to get it done. Pick up the rear end with a jack and wiggle the rear tires and make sure that the hub nuts are tight. Check the suspension and steering heims too. Make sure everything is tight and that the owner hasn't run it loose and caused damage to the billet spindles. If you want you can PM me your number and I can call you and explain in more detail.

FYI- I have a 2007 Revolt for sale too. It was the factory's show car and it has 2 hrs and a few minutes on the engine. I have completed the updates and it will be sold as a new machine with a full factory 6 mo warranty. If you are interested or anyone else, PM me your phone number and I can call and give you the details.

Re: Question for RED ROCK RAILS (UTAH)

Do you know what the issues are with the ECU and oil hoses? What will happen if those are not done? St. George Utah is a pretty good haul from southwest AZ. But whats the asking price of your 07? The one I'm going to look at, the guy is asking $9K.....I appreciate your expertise and knowledge and thankful for your input.

Re: Question for RED ROCK RAILS (UTAH)

The ECU update addressed a cold start issue and a programming issue with the check engine light. The check engine light was coming on at start up with out there being anything wrong. Redline disconnected the lights behind the dash until the programming issue was resolved and when the solution came a service bulletin was sent out. Lift the hood of the machine and look at the wiring coming from the check engine light (red and black wires) they should be connected to a (light blue and pink wire). If they aren't then I would say that the ECM hasn't been updated. As far as the oil hoses the were a couple instances where a cooler hose started to leak through the hose not at a connection or from rubbing through. It was like there was a bad spot in the hose or a perforation if you will. I had a customer that this had happened to. Redline recognized this as a problem and sent out the update hoses to correct any future problems. I would recommend that you have them done if you pick up that machine. If you develop a leak it will be behind you while you are riding and you might not notice it until it is too late. The one that happened to my customer was a pin hole in the side of the hose.

I am going to send you a PM.

Re: Question for RED ROCK RAILS (UTAH)

LOL............. check out my situation.... mine is the worst....

-San Diego, probably one of the nicest weather locations
-I have my revolt with me in my back yard.....

But I cant ride it, because there is no place close to ride
Unless I travel 1 hour plus........

-Its like having ice cream on the fridge on a hot day, and not being able to eat it.... jajaja
