Re: new airbox

Thanks, I already have a fuel box, it's not a biggun. It is a one of a kind from the people who made the boxes for biggun. My box has some different settings, and they can change basically anything I want.

Is their a filter inside the box too?

Here is a air box on a Honda Pilot that runs a prefilter before the air box

Here is two other Pilots that didnt run a prefilter on their air boxes, these Pilots ran down the same trails in front of the Pilot in the above picture the Pilot in the first picture actually seen more dust than the two below, all 3 started the trip with clean air boxes and filters.

Here is some pictures of the prefilters used to filter the air before it entered the air box.

The two prefilters were sized to be 2x larger than the original air filter located in the air box, this was done for a good reason first and most important they were over sized to reduce the velocity that is drawn through the filter so it wont pull as much dirt through the filters, they were over sized so when really dirty it would not restrict the air flow to the air box, the flow restriction was verified with EGT readings, exhaust temp readings were taken with no prefilters then prefilters added it was also checked when the prefilters were very dirty, no decreases in exhaust gas temps was noted, spark plug readings also verified the EGT readings.

Need more flow increase the surface area of your filters dont use a less restrictive filter that will pass more dirt into your engine, on some applications it will be necessary to remove the factory intake system and start all over.
