Is this damaged?

I tore my clutch and secondary down for inspection and found this. Can,t figure out if it a weld or damage. Anyone know?

Your belt does not rub at that point and does not "shine" up the clutch faces at that point. IMO it looks normal to me.

Good news!! I remember seeing the thread of the clutch that came apart. I did not want to be the next victim. Odd finish. I do not remember it being that way before.

You guys are right on! Although, this is a point of inspection. I have seen and actually have a clutch in my shop right now where the aluminum became detached from the clutch shaft and began to slip and rattle. I will have to take some pics and post them.

I doesn't appear to have a problem. I just wanted to make mention that it is a place that I would inspect if you were to have a problem with slippage or noise.
