Question for Queen

Mark,
I saw an add today in Dirtwheels mag. A product called "Startron" (www.startron.com), is this something you would recommend? I have heard that "Stabil" is not made to take care of these problems.

Re: Question for Queen

Usually what I have seen in the past is that any fuel additive causes weird burns. It usually leaves deposits on the exh valves and causes the valve job to go away. I never recomend any fuel additive except a upper end lubricant in certain applications. In my opinion, just buy a better fuel. Save your money and spend it on a good grade of fuel. Hope this helps. Mark

Re: Question for Queen

No they dont. They are a upper cyl lube, and they help keep the valve guides lubed up. The oils in them keep your injectors working freely.

Thanks for the reply.
Most of the BPs, Exxons, and Shells that I go to have a sticker on the pump that says " may contain 10% ethanol", how do you know for sure?
What brand if any is ok to use?
