Thumbs up Big Gun Fuel Programer Results

The results are in, the Big Gun fuel programer works great!!!
I spent spring break at Florence Oregon Dunes. First impression of the power with the fuel programer at the as delivered settings was WOW...
Better throttle response, great mid range pulling power and about 600 more RPM at top end. Before installing the programer I could pull about 7600 full throttle, now I get 8100-8200. I played with the tunning a little, adding more fuel at mid range and top end and also set the top end fuel to come on sooner. I believe this is a great product with lots of potential for fine tunning for different conditions. My recomendation is: if you have changed your intake and exhaust to flow more, you absolutely need this programer to take advantage of the better flow. Side by side with a non programed Revolt set up exactly the same, my Revolt pulled it by two lengths on the flat drag race. Before the programer we were exactly the same.

yes I do, but it is a narrow band type. In order to use air/fuel ratio to tune you need a wide band gauge.

Here are just some basics, There is more to this subject.

Wide Band
  • Shows Actual Air/Fuel ratio in realtime.
  • Precise display of Air /Fuel ratio to one or two decimal places.
  • Fully temperature compensated.
  • Higher cost.

Narrow Band
  • Only shows indication of rich or lean.
  • Really only useful for making sure your engine is not running on the lean side.
  • Not temperature compensated, so the same air/fuel condition in the motor will result in an indication on the meter that will vary depending on exhaust temperature.
  • Low cost.

Scott,

Did you get that spread sheet info with the base map settings that we sent you? I am glad you liked the programmer. Linda got a call from Dave last week to place an order for one.
