Spacers on backside of driven clutch are loose on input shaft

I noticed the spacers on the backside of the driven clutch are loose on the inputshaft. There is two thick spacers and two thin spacers(shimms). Aren't these supposed to be tight? If not why are they on there?

They are not supposed to be tight. You should have about a shims width of free play (float). It has to do with the alignment of the clutches and the relationship/positioning of the engine and trans in the chassis. I saw this when our first machines came in and had questioned it too. They are set up the the factory this way. If you check and all you have is about a shims worth of free play you should be just fine.
