Motor needed

I blew the motor in my riot. Does anyone one have a used motor?

What did it break? I've fixed some pretty bad ones lately so it may be repairable.

Re: Motor needed

I found a hole in the block from a rod. I am pulling the motor apart this weekend to see what the total carnage is

Well, you'll need engine cases and a rod and piston for sure. The crank is the spendy part that might need to be replaced. A broken rod usually takes out the scavenge pump also. The valves are usually bent from the loose piston hitting them and the head could be damaged.

I can rebuild one for you. It would be $3500.00 plus shipping from 97045. That is outright no exchange. Long block with valve cover no sensors. Normally aspirated or turbo application Redline.

crazyyooper, without the head I can't torque the studs down to properly assemble a short block. Also the head would have to be on to properly install the timing chain. The scavenge pump (bottom cover) would not be able to be installed until the timing chain is installed. If you shipped me your head etc. I could work you up a price.

Re: Motor needed

But why get a short block? It would be better to have standard or upgrade to stroker kit.
