Used Engine

I recently purchased a turbo car with a siezed up motor in it. Looking for a short block or something with <500 hours.

You can use a Polaris watercraft turbo Weber engine if you turn the head around and use the Redline cam shaft. I've seen some used on e-bay lately for $1200 to $1800.

Re: Used Engine

Thanks for the info. I have been looking on line to see if anyone else uses the Weber but have not had any luck. Do you know if they were used in any other ATV, UTV, Water crafts?

If you go to Weberpower.com you will find many applications for the Weber 750 that we use. The problem is that we are the only ones that have the head installed the direction that we have. Many are turbo charged so they have the correct pistons and exhaust valves for a turbo car but use a different cam because of the head direction. If you use one of these engines you will need to turn the head around and install a Redline application cam. The other difference is that that some of the other engines use a alternator instead of a stator. The crank is different on these but is usable if you use the alternator. There are some Redline engines for sale on e-bay or from Waistland but would need the pistons and exhaust valves changed to be used with the turbo.

Re: Used Engine

How much did you spend on the turbo revolt with the seized motor? I am just curious. I am doing a turbo on my car and want to know what I might expect to get if it goes bad.
