Have you guys noticed that even when you have the air/fuel ratio correct with these Weber motors that it still runs hot enough to discolor the stainless steel mid pipe and muffler?

I would swear that hard running with these engines is just hotter than typical engine exhaust?????

Yah, my Gibson exhaust went from nice shiny stainless to a slightly shiny brown color (the muffler and mid pipe!)

That seems to be normal with stainless.
I would think especially because these are so short & wind blocked.
My motorcycle exhaust does the same thing. Just not all the way to the muffler.
