Turbo Parts from Red Rock Powersports???

Well I made some phone calls today following up on some things and have been told I can let this cat out of the bag.

It seems that in about a month or so Mike at Red Rock will be selling all the Weber parts you need for your Turbo Revolt application. Congradulations to Mike for this opportunity to continue to support our community.

I will leave it at that and let Mike follow up when he desides to comment on the subject.

Nothing like Weberpower, huh, Mike.

Well Mike, since the Kitty has been set loose; what are you going to offer? Complete kits, components, do it yourself or installed? Has there been some "Black Opps" R&D work going on at the skunk works?????
Give me a call or PM.

Later,
Scott

Re: Turbo Parts from Red Rock Powersports???

I would be interested in a diffrent turbo support bracket. Are they steel or aluminum? Can also give me the price for each. Thanks Mike

Crap. Let me clarify what I was told. All WEBER parts for you turbo application. You have to be REALLY careful how you phrase things.

On the subject of brackets though, there is a aluminum wastegate actuator bracket that will be available to help deal with the harmonics that cause the wastegate rod to break over time. Just another option to make a conversion easier and more reliable.

Re: Turbo Parts from Red Rock Powersports???

So what are sayings here? He has Weber parts only and no brackets for supporting the turbo to the engine. Mike has sold Weber parts for some time now.

Re: Turbo Parts from Red Rock Powersports???

I am sure Mike will reply when he sees fit. It does say in a month or so. I know Mike got a chance to experience a turbo and I have been teasing him about how long it will be until he gets one. I found it funny that I found out he was expanding to support the turbo guys like me and could not pass up the chance to post something.

I am not saying anything other than Mike will be supporting the turbo efforts of all of us. And I am sure as time goes on he will work to supply what any of us need as he normally does. I for one am glad to know he is there supporting the parts I will need in the future for my turbo.

The Skunkworks? Shhhh Well, there are a few things that we are working on that I can't talk about yet... but I can say that I have acquired another Revolt to use as a testing platform.

Now as far as the Turbo Kits... We get a lot of calls about turbo info probably just like Pilot does. Some are looking for a bolt on kits and I have to explain that there is more to it than just bolting on a turbo and manifold. As you are well aware there are internal engine components that have to be changed in order to begin to start a turbo conversion. There are also special tools that are needed and mechanical know how. We are going to offer a kit that has the all the Weber hard parts that are needed to make the conversion. It has been mentioned that I am already a Weber engine dealer and have been selling parts for awhile and that is true. This kit however, will make it easier for the owner to acquire the necessary Weber parts that wants to pursue the Hp that a turbo set up has to offer. Brackets, coolers, hoses, etc... will be up to the owner to acquire or build at this point. Will we have other things to offer with regards to the change from our end? In time maybe, but not now. Dave (Pilot) has that stuff covered already and I hope that maybe between to the two of us that the turbo builder can get the things that he needs. There will be some owners that want to build that probably have some idea of how they want their Revolt to look as far as the location of their cooler, plumbing, intake, etc and will do it themselves. They will still need engine parts and thus the creation of the engine hard parts kit.

Red Rock Powersports plan is to continue to support the Redline community as Sandracer1 has mentioned. In the process we hope to come out with some real cool stuff along the way for the Redline community. We have a lot of ideas at the Skunkworks so stay tuned.

Mike
