Re: loses power and dies

Can you give a better description of the loss of power and quitting?
Is it at idle, full power pull, cruising?
After you hit a jump, or turn left or right?
Fueling issue, low battery voltage?
Have you added accessories, or done a wiring change, any info you can give will help diagnose the problem via the forum. It is tough to diagnose without hands on, but I think the Redline community could help with more info.

The fuel pump on the Redlines does not self prime. If the pump is mounted in a location higher than the fuel level in the fuel cell maybe it is losing its prime and starving the injectors. Just a thought since the car has been highly modified from original.

Re: loses power and dies

When you crank it over and it is trying to start, do you see black smoke coming out of your exhaust, but the engine with not take off? or if it does fire and you hit the throttle there is nothing,no throttle response, but then sometimes it catches and revs? Just clarifying.

Good point but no, fuel pump is located below the fuel tank.

After conversing with TRS yesterday on the phone, he narrowed it down to maybe the fuel solenoid (getting hot and cutting out) or probably an air leak in the feeder tube assembly. His theory: it starts sucking air, dies, winch up ramps forces gas into air leak into fuel line, starts after it is on trailer.

I would like to get this fixed, it will probably sell better without this "known issue"...
Is the fuel tank still vented like the stock one with a vented cap?
