Turbo Complete

Running the 11.1 pistons, stock ECU, went back to the stock injectors and MAP sensor. No boost/vacuum signal line to the fuel rail regulator.
Anyone with the turbo needs to get a fuel controller from Dobeck Performance. Talk to Matt, he is the man, he did an awesome job on programming this animal. Almost zero, I mean almost zero turbo lag from a dead stop and with only 7lbs of boost we tore the motor mounts in half, will post pictures of them soon.
With two adults in the car at 6700' elevation the car runs 74mph(GPS) in less than 600ft. Car is running out of gearing and over revving. Went from 25"tires to 27" tires, it needs 28". I also posted a picture of My helper sleeping in the shop.

Re: Turbo Complete

Here are a few more pictures.
Matt recommends we build an airbox that will accommodate another fuel injector. He can program it to fog the airbox under boost. That sounds like our next project.
Hope the trans can take the power.
The post on the belt guard was a good one, Thank's. Replacing the plastic one was a good call. Belt blew without causing any damage.

Re: Turbo Complete

Looks great Tony. Are those motor mounts stock or did the 90 durometer mounts come apart?

Re: Turbo Complete

Thanks Eric.
The 90's came apart. I had to put 70's in yesterday, that's all I had.
With both of us in the car, from a dead stop, it danced the front wheels off the ground. It was so violent it even bent the torque arm bracket. Don't think we will try that on the blacktop again any time soon.
The turbo and the clutching must be working.

Re: Turbo Complete

Very nice! Looks like you'll have no issues pulling Choke Cherry with that kind of power.

I ended up putting some 80 Durometer mounts on my Riot - was concerned about not having any flex at all with the 90's...you can still feel my frame buzzes like a chainsaw when running.

Re: Turbo Complete

Do you have a supplier and part number for the 80 durometer mounts? Sure would love a set!

Re: Turbo Complete

I ended up getting my 80's from HPD (High Performance Designs) as SLP was out of stock back when I was looking for them...
