Over flow bottle

What do you think, eliminate (cut and weld) the radiator cap and add the visual over flow/reservoir bottle? It's an inline bottle.

Re: Over flow bottle

Looks like your making a Revolt out of a Riot. Ya you don't need 2 caps. I also noticed you still have the trans vented to the ground. Better take care of that or all your gear oil will be on the ground. Looking good to me!

Re: Over flow bottle

To many issues with the radiator up front. It's the first to the scene of the crash, first to the dirt, sand ect.
We will move the tranny vent and going to add an extra vent as Easy-E did. Keep the info coming, it is much appreciated.

Re: Over flow bottle

Tony, that's similar to the Weber burp bottle setup I picked up from RRP. In the Riot, I would highly recommend the burp bottle on the engine side of the cooling system while leaving the cap on the radiator intact. Air gets trapped on the engine side and and air will build in the head and de-prime your water pump causing an overheat. I was quite surprised at how much air burped from my system over a couple rides. It took two dune rides for the coolant level to settle down.

I'll post some pics after I get home from St Anthonys, but if you PM a phone number I can text some pics...

Re: Over flow bottle

Just realized you mounted the radiator behind the seat.... Looks like the airlock problem won't be an issue

Re: Over flow bottle

Looks like we have a spammer. I didn't click on the link and I suggest nobody else does either. I googled jaminaflorenca and it looks like he's joined every forum in existence in the last few days. And I did send Jose (Offroadpro) a pm alerting him.
