Alternator mounted

Mounted a Toyota alternator on Jeff's car. Alternator guy said keep it under 12,000, so I had to build a 3.4" pulley to slow the alternator down. Here are some Pics. Will work on turbo this week.

Re: Alternator mounted

Thank you. Need to go to the powder coat'r tomorrow. The 70 amp alternator will be a great addition. Radiator relocate and intercooler are next on the agenda.

Re: Alternator mounted

TRS,
Got a question for you. Am I reading correctly that a motor RPM of 2941 gives you an alternator RPM of 11,912?

Re: Alternator mounted

The turbo gets red hot, is the heat going to be a problem for the alternator.

Re: Alternator mounted

jtap00,
Going to build a shield. Mount holes are already in the turbo exh. manifold.

Mike,
I will make the pattern available. I would like to get some test miles on it first. The plug (3 wire pigtail) for the Toyota alternator is available from Electric Motor Service (304-752-6070). The part number is NWR 050-12159.
