Starter gone bad

When you think your starter sounds bad, its to late. This is what it looks like after it comes apart. I also have damage to the crank gear and damage to the gear that mates to the crank gear. If you have not changed the starter out, you should do so now. The starter is cheaper then all them gears.

Jtap is our test guy. If it doesn't hold up for him, everybody needs to take a long look at it. Sure does cost us alot though!

He is the test guy with the patience of "JOB" and what a "Think Tank" I'll tell ya! Holy Cow! He cracked me up when he came to my shop with all the Bio-diesel in the back of his truck that he made himself so he could make the long journey.

Down in the bottom of the engine in the sump pump section. There is a screen down there, but if any of the pieces are small enough there is a possibility they can make it into the pumps that push the oil up to the oil cooler.
